cemetery is now on private property and permission would be needed from the
owners to do any research. Please note that some of the remains are reported
interred at the Kingston Cemetery
Cyrus A. Douglas
and Zillah A. Douglas, his wife, of City of Sycamore, County of Dekalb and
State of Illinois and Ira W. Douglas and Lottie E. Douglas, his wife, of
Village of Genoa for and in consideration of one dollar in hand, convey to
Maple Hill Cemetery Association of the Town of Mayfield, County of Dekalb,
State of Illinois the following described real estate, to
wit:
Beginning
at a point on the S. West ¼ of Section 1 Township forty one North Range
Four (4) East of the third Principal Meridian in the County of Dekalb and
State of Illinois where the South line of Assessors lot No. Thirty
(30) of said section intersects the center line of the Public Highway extending
North and South through said quarter section and running thence Southerly
along the center lines said highway 3 chains and 25 links thence Westerly
1 and ½ degrees North 1 chain and 75 links thence Northerly 3 and ½
degrees East 3 chains and 68 links to the said South line of said
Assessors lot 30 thence Easterly along the South line of said lot 1
chain and 62 links to the place of beginning. It being the intention of the
grantors to convey said premises to said Association for cemetery purposes
only and on condition that the same be so used by said Association or their
successors and in case said premises should cease to be so used said premises
shall revert to said grantors, their heirs or assigns.
