Death In California of James Elliott, 68

James Elliott, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Morris Elliott, who was born in 1861 on a farm east of Sycamore and here grew to manhood, and was engaged in farming and carpentering, died at his home in Oakland, Calif., on December 20, from paralysis.  He suffered a stroke over a year ago, but partly recovered so that he was able to do some work, when he suffered a second stroke and remained unconscious until the end.

 Mr. Elliott was married to Miss Hattie Pratt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Pratt.  They removed to California ten years ago.
