DEATH TAKES YOUNG MAN
DANIEL FLOOD EXPIRES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS WITH PNEUMONIA
WAS WELL KNOWN
Esteemed by Hundreds of Friends, Death Brings Sorrow to Whole Community;
Funeral Announced Later
There was sadness today among the friends of Daniel Flood at his death, which
occurred last night at 10:30 o'clock at his home in Milan Township. The young
man who had been ill a wee, after a brave struggle for life, succumbed to
pneumonia.
A splendid character admired by everyone who knew him, the death of Daniel
Flood seems particularly sad. He attended the schools of this vicinity and
had grown to young manhood here. He was born January 17, 1891, and had always
lived in DeKalb County with his parents. Left to mourn are his parents, four
brothers, John, Thomas, Jr., James and Martin, who is in the army and is
expected home, and two sisters, Kathryn and May. Funeral Services will be
announced later.
