Mrs. W. Brendemuhl

Died Suddenly on

Sunday Evening

 

            Mrs. Walter (Agnes L.) Brendemuhl, 60 a life-long resident of Genoa, died suddenly and unexpectedly at her home at 126 N. Stott St., Sunday, Dec. 20, 1959, at 9 p.m.  She had been dismissed Saturday afternoon from the Sycamore hospital where she had been a patient for one week, due to a heart condition.  She was so greatly improved that her death came as a shock to her family and friends.

            She was born February 23, 1899 in rural Genoa, the daughter of William and Adeline Lietzow Duval.  She attended rural schools and Trinity Lutheran Parochial school.  On March 31, 1917, she was united in marriage to Walter Brendemuhl and all their married life they have resided in Genoa.

            She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Ladies Aid Society and the American Legion Auxiliary.

            Mrs. Brendemuhl possessed the traits of character which exemplified the highest type of true womanhood.  Her cheerful disposition and generous kindly nature were admired by her friends and acquaintances who always found her a pleasant companion.  She was deeply devoted to her family and home.

            Left to mourn her passing are her husband: four sons, William of Galion, Ohio; Ray of Burlingame, Calif., Merle of Lenior, N.C., and Dale, at home; four grandsons; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Leota) Raddatz and Mrs. Frank (Helen) Studer of Elgin; and a brother, Ernest Duval, of Withey, Wis.  She was predeceased by a brother in infancy, a son, Harold, and her parents.

            Funeral services under the direction of the Cooper Funeral Home, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m., from Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. Carl G. Kruse officiating.  Interment took place in Genoa cemetery.
