Funeral services took place in Dekalb, Ill, this
afternoon, for Archibald A. Mack, 87 former Rockford resident who died Saturday
at Elgin. Burial was at Greenwood
Cemetery here. Mr. Mack is survived by three daughters,
Mrs. John Wych of Garden Prairie, Mrs. Robert Randall of Maple Park, and Mrs.
C.L. Holdridge of DeKalb: a son Arthur
of Knoxville, Tenn: 27 grandchildren
and 34 great-grandchildren.
Born May 1, 1859 in Squaw Grove Township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Mack, he married Mary Edna Damon in 1883. She died in 1900. He was employed at one time by the American Steel Company in DeKalb and later farmed at Harvard for a number of years before moving to Rockford. He resided here about 10 years, but recently had been living with his children.
