Mrs. O’Brien Passes Away This Morning

 

Mrs. James H. O'Brien, age 59, 1ifelong resident of DeKalb county and, a resident of this community for some time, died at 10:30 o'clock this morning at the St. Mary's hospital. Mrs. O'Brien had been ill for the past two months.

 

Mrs. O'Brien was born April 1, 1882, in Milan Township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Hart, and on February 7, 1911 was united in marriage to James H. O’Brien at the St. James church, in Lee. For three years Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien resided on a farm in South Grove and for twenty years were residents of Mayfield town­ship, near Clare. In 1934 they moved to their own farm three and a half miles southeast of DeKalb, where the home has since been made.  

 

Mrs. O'Brien is survived by her husband two sons, Donald of Sycamore and Thomas, living at home; one brother and two sisters, Grover Hart of' Milan, Mrs. Mary Cox of Chicago and Mrs. Henry T. Barr of Cortland, and several nieces and nephews.  One son, Stephen, died in infancy.

 

The funeral service will be held on Monday morning at 9:00 o'clock from the St. Mary’s church, the Rev. Fr. Quinn to conduct the service. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s cemetery. The body will remain at the Nelson & Ronan Mortuary until the time of the service and friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Sunday.  The rosary will be said at 8:00 o’clock Monday eve­ning.
