Date of Death: Sept 20, 1952

The Salem Lutheran church was filled to its capacity with mourning family

members and friends at the impressive final rites accorded Wednesday

afternoon for Mrs. Lloyd Olson, beloved young mother and esteemed resident,

of Sycamore, who was killed Sunday night in an auto crash.

Dallas Young, the student minister at the local church, officiated and in

comforting words paid high tribute to the beautiful life of this young

mother.  Mrs. Herbert-Peterson, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. George

Dean, sang two lovely old hymns, "Nearer Still Nearer" and "I Heard the

Voice of Jesus Say."  Mrs. Olson was laid to rest in the Elmwood cemetery

here.

The Registered Nurses of Sycamore attended the services enmasse and a

number of them served as flower carriers.

Countless floral tributes bespoke the love and esteem of the relatives and

large circle of friends, for the deceased.

Many were in attendance from out-of-town, coming from Chicago, Lombard, St.

Charles, Rockford, Delhi, Iowa and Harrisburg, Pa., also from nearby towns.

Following the services, lunch was served in the social parlors of the Salem

Lutheran church by the North Grove Home Bureau, of which Mrs. Olson was a

member.
