DEATH OF J. LOUIS PARISOT

 

Old Resident Passes Away at His Home Tuesday Morning, March 11

 

Mr. John Louis Parisot died at his farm home west of Somonauk Tuesday March 11, at the advanced age of 78 years and three days.

 

The deceased was born at St. Blaise, LaRoche, Alsace, France, March 8, 1841. He was married to Miss H'Eloise Claudel January 2, 1869 and the same year the couple came to America, settling in Serena township. In 1876 they moved to Victor township, where they resided until 1898, when they moved to the present home in Adams township. Mrs. Parisot died Feb. 24, 1902.

 

To Mr. and Mrs. Parisot were born seven children, Mrs. Eugene Friene, Brookhaven, Miss., Josehh (sic) of Baker, John of Kingston, Mrs. John Schafman of Brookings, S.D., Mrs. Alphonse Wolfe and Louis of Somonauk, all of who were at his side during his last illness and when he entered upon his last sleep. One daughter, Mrs. J. M. Meyer, preceded him in death.

 

He is also survived by one brother, Emil, and two sisters, Marguerite Grandadam of Lisbon, N.D., and Julia George of Alsace, France.

 

The funeral was held at the Catholic church yesterday morning, services being conducted by Fr. Welter. Interment took place in the Catholic cemetery.
