Elmer B. Peterson
   MAPLE PARK - Elmer B. Peterson, 77, of Maple Park, died June 10 1973
at Sycamore Municipal Hospital.
   Mr. Peterson was born June 19, 1895, at Maple Park, the son of John
A. and Augusta Peterson.  He was married to Eva Stone on November 23,
1927, and she died in 1965.
   Mr. Peterson was a veteran of World War I; a long time member and
past commander of the Maple Park American Legion; a member and past
president of the Maple Park Lions Club; and a member of Salem Lutheran
Church in Sycamore.
  Two sons, John A., St Charles and Orval L., Maple Park, survive; also
a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Sharon) Neal, Taylorville, Ill.; eight
grandchildren and one great-grandchild; a brother Reuben, Maple Park; a
sister, Mrs. Fred (Bessie) Wahlberg, Elgin; a half brother, August
Peterson, DeKalb and a half sister, Mrs. Charles (Emma) Lantz, Chicago.
   He was also preceded in death by six half brothers and six half
sisters.
   Funeral services are at 2 p.m., June 13, at the Salem Lutheran
Church with the Rev. Ray N. Scherer officiating.  Burial with military
services will take place in Elmwood cemetery, Sycamore.
   Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the Van Natta Funeral
Home, Sycamore.
