JERRY SULLIVAN IS TAKEN, WELL KNOWN FARMER IN
SOUTH GROVE FOR MANY YEARS AND RESIDENT OF
SYCAMORE FOR SOME 15 YEARS, DIED FRIDAY AT HOME
OF HIS DAUGHTER NEAR CHANA.
Jerry Sullivan, a well known farmer in South Grove township for many
years, and a resident of Sycamore for some 15 years, died last Friday evening
at the home of his daughter Mrs. Mary Camp near Chana, Ogle county, ILL.,
where he had been making his home with his wife for the winter.
Mr. Sullivan was a native of Ireland, where he was born 78 years ago.
He came to this country and engaged in farming in South Grove township
and occupied his farm until he removed to Sycamore, and retired from
active labors.
He leaves surviving his wife and five children: John of Iowa; Patrick of
Lincoln, Neb.; Jerry who conducts the home farm in South Grove;
Mrs. Mary Camp of Chana, Ill.; and Mrs. Agnes Holland, who resides near
Oregon, Ill.
The funeral services were held at Rochelle, and the remains were
brought to Sycamore and interred in Mt. Carmel cemetery on Monday afternoon.
